Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine ITEM in Germany have developed a bioresorbable membrane for the treatment of both large and internal wounds.
The membrane is said to support wound healing and biodegrades completely in the body to a natural substance.
For the full story, see the March 2023 edition of Medical Textiles.
