Bioresorbable membrane for healing internal and external wounds

Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC and the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine ITEM in Germany have developed a bioresorbable membrane for the treatment of both large and internal wounds.

The membrane is said to support wound healing and biodegrades completely in the body to a natural substance.
