In late 2016, Smolyan, Bulgaria-based Dreams Company started a partnership with IKEA to create blankets and carpets for the retailer’s Vässad collection. These were produced for eight months with natural products from Bulgaria.
Rodopska Takan, which operates as Dreams Company, is one of two Bulgarian firms (the other is Bonana of Petrich) that have produced more than 30 items from the limited-edition Vässad collection, which is currently in the Swedish company’s stores worldwide. This is the first collection of IKEA produced entirely in Bulgaria.
