CBI supports leading clothing companies in Myanmar

The Dutch Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) is holding an export coaching programme to support locally owned clothing factories in Myanmar move from cut-make-pack to free on board production in a sustainable manner.

At last month’s Apparel Sourcing Paris, CBI presented eight selected companies, including some often mentioned as role models for the sector. This is especially the case for Unique HTT (winner of the national Compliance Award 2017), the highly efficient SMC Group of companies and the sustainability-oriented knitwear manufacturer Shwe Sakar.
