Co-operation with vehicle industry drives growth of composites

BMW and SGL, Ford and DowAksa, Hyundai and Hyosung, Mitsubishi and Wethje, Volvo and Benteler-SGL as well as Henkel – are just some of the examples of the close co-operation between major automakers and firms in the composites sector for putting innovative new applications into practice.

The automotive industry, including commercial vehicles, continues to be one of the major growth drivers for fibre composite solutions.

Lightweight construction plays an especially important role within the context of e-mobility in the automotive sector.

From 6-8 November, Composites Europe will show all the manufacturing processes used to make fibre reinforced plastics.
