Cotton spinning enterprises to start up in Turkmenistan by 2014

Three cotton spinning enterprises in Turkmenistan are planned to start production by 2014. The building of the cotton mills is being carried out in the Kunyaurgench Etrap (district) of the Dashoguz velayat (region) and the cities of Turkemabat and Seydi of Lebap velayat, reports the Ministry of Textile Industry.

Construction of these complexes is entrusted to Turkey’s Norsel International, which has undertaken to put them into operation by February 2014.

Production of 6,000 tonnes of cotton yarn per year is planned to be launched in the Kunyaurgench Etrap; the facility in Seydi will have the same output. The plant in Turkmenabat will produce up to 4,000 tonnes of cotton yarn per year.
