Croatian entrepreneur oversees transformation of Varteks

A Croatian entrepreneur has resigned his position as president of Varteks after he led the process of salvaging the Varaždin-based clothing maker: Nenad Bakić invested his own money and business know-how to help save more than 1,000 jobs.

The company has been producing dresses, coats, jackets and other clothing for specialised purposes, including uniforms for the Croatian Army and the police for more than 100 years.
