For Bulgarian clothing producers, the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic led to huge quantities of stock, deferred sales of last year’s collections, delayed payments and bankruptcies in the chain.

This resulted in a 12% fall, or almost BGN500m (US$300m), in textile and clothing exports in 2020 to BGN4bn (US$2.4bn).
