Demand for Philippine abaca to grow by 5.7%

Over the next five years, the Philippines is predicted to remain the world’s leading source of abaca, the strongest-known natural fibre, according to a global market research and consulting company.

TechSci Research said global demand for Philippine abaca fibre is expected to grow by 5.7% to 2019.
