Eco-friendly technology generates energy from textile waste in Lithuania

A research team from Kaunas University of Technology and the Lithuanian Energy Institute has developed a new technique to transform lint microfibres found in clothes dryers into energy.

The researchers have built a pilot pyrolysis plant and designed a mathematical model to determine the potential environmental and economic outcomes of the technology.
