Electronic textiles research develops colour changing fabrics

Multi-disciplinary research at the UK’s University of Southampton is creating smart fabrics capable of emitting light and changing colour.

Researchers from the University’s Smart Electronic Materials and Systems Research Group are investigating a new technique for producing light-emitting textiles that could be used in future automotive applications, as well as in medical, performance sports, architecture and fashion materials.
