Fire at Thai polyester plant shuts production line

A fire at Indorama Polyester Industries on the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand, on 5 November has led to the suspension of operations of a polyester fibre production line.

According to Indorama Ventures (IVL), which owns the plant, the fire on the Fiber line 2 exhaust duct was “minor” and extinguished within 15 minutes.
