Fire-blockers for public transport markets

The custom-engineered spunlaced and needlepunched materials offered by Norafin are suitable for use as fire-blockers in a range of markets, including public transport.

The company says these technical nonwoven materials’ fire-blocking and fire-retarding capabilities are in accordance with EN 45545-2, FAR/CS25.853a, ABD 0031-F and BSS 7239 standards, and the materials comply with railway standards regarding the emission of smoke and toxic gases.

The materials range in weight from 70-450 g/m². They are designed to meet the market’s requirements for superior durability (offering resistance to abrasions and Velcro), softness, density and drape characteristics.
