German spunbond producer to open factory in Serbia

German spunbond fabric producer Hydroweb plans to build a €20m (US$21m) factory in Jagodina, central Serbia, with construction due to start in February or March.

The company produces materials used in the medical, construction and automotive industries. Part of the production is earmarked for Italian car cover manufacturer Confezioni Andrea Serbia in Jagodina, and the rest is for export to China and Russia.
