A wound dressing with haemostatic, coagulation-promoting and biocidal properties for treating gunshot wounds in particular has been developed by Speed Care Mineral of Neubrandenburg, Germany.
The dressing features selected halloysites – aluminosilicate clay minerals comprising oxygen, silicon, aluminium and hydrogen – that are applied to woven, knitted or nonwoven fabrics.
