Hexcel launches site for new carbon fibre plant in France

Hexcel has officially opened the site in Roussillon, France, where it will invest US$250m in the construction of a carbon fibre plant.

The facility will occupy a 15-ha site at the Osiris Chemicals Industry Platform in Roussillon and will comprise both polymerisation and carbonisation lines.

The plant is part of Hexcel’s ongoing worldwide investment to create a diversified supply chain to support aerospace customers’ growing demand for carbon fibre composites.
