High hopes for Thailand's fashion industry products

The export value of Thai fashion products is expected to reach THB1trn (US$29bn) a year within the next five years as the country is on the right track to compete globally, according the Thailand Development Research Institute.

The target is well above the current export value of THB620bn (US$18bn) for fashion goods, including textiles, clothing, leatherwear, jewellery and accessories.
