High-tech fibres for cars and aircraft

Manufacturers of cars and aircraft are committed to the use of fibre reinforced plastics. The common denominator here is technical textiles, with fibres made from carbon, aramid, glass and sustainable raw materials providing the backbone for many duroplastic and thermoplastic materials.

Techtextil 2013 will demonstrate the high complexity of fibre based composite technology. Important research establishments in the field of composite technologies will be present along with the manufacturers of weaving, knitting and embroidery machines among many others.
