Hungarian workers shun sewing jobs

Although the share of exports in total Hungarian clothing turnover has decreased from 74.4% in 2013 to 66.8% in 2017, exports are still the most important driver of the sector’s turnover.

However, the apparel industry is trapped in a Catch 22 scenario as workers are becoming hard to find.
