IAC expands UK operations
Automotive and commercial vehicle interiors supplier International Automotive Components (IAC) has expanded its manufacturing footprint in the UK.
Company officials first dedicated a 6,700 m2 manufacturing facility, which complements IAC’s current Halewood operation. They also opened a new 12,500 m2 facility in Elmdon near Birmingham, which hosts manufacturing, a design and technical centre, and the UK regional administrative functions.
The addition of these two facilities extends IAC’s capability to support its domestic and Asian original equipment manufacturer customers from five locations across the UK.
The company has increased the number of employees in the UK from around 700 in 2007 to more than 2,200 at present.
