The volume of textile production in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2020 grew by 8% year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development. Growth was recorded in most sectors, including finished textiles, outerwear, hats and hosiery.
Local manufacturers currently dominate defence orders and workwear. In recent months, the industry has also been able manufacture face masks, with production rising to 700,000 units daily.
