Indonesia aims to be leading Muslim fashion supplier by 2020

According to the State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2018/2019, the global fashion consumption among Muslims is valued at US$270bn and is projected to continue to increase at a growth rate of 5%. By 2023, consumption will be worth US$361bn.

The UAE is currently the world’s biggest producer of Muslim fashion, but Indonesia, currently home to the world’s largest number of Muslims, aims to emerge as the leading Muslim fashion supplier by 2020.
