A process for producing a 100% carbon fibre fabric has been developed by Italian start-up AB TechLab after seven years of research by co-founder Alessandro Bergamini, who has patented the technology.
Called AB Carbon Tex, the woven fabric is said to be flame retardant, heat regulating, heat resistant, antistatic, antibacterial, waterproof but breathable, tear and abrasion resistant, and 100% recyclable.
