Johnson Controls forms new fabric joint venture in China

Automotive supplier Johnson Controls has signed an agreement with Shanghai Yanfeng Industry & Commerce and Anhui Yansheng Automotive Trim to form a new fabrics joint venture (JV) in Huainan City, Anhui Province, China.

The JV, called Anhui New Nangang Johnson Controls Automotive Trim, will provide Chinese automakers with a range of services from fabric design, engineering and manufacturing to trim products.

The JV owns warp knitting and circular knitting capabilities, and its product portfolio includes woven fabrics as well as seat trim covers.
