Kalinel, a supplier of home textiles for IKEA stores worldwide, will invest BGN6m (US$3.4m) in a new production base in Troyan, Bulgaria. The increased capacity will enable the enterprise to meet increased orders and the high requirements of the Swedish chain and other overseas partners, said owner Marin Radevski. The new building will have an area of more than 5,000 m2 for production and administrative.

Kalinel manufactures pillows and blankets for home textiles chain stores worldwide. Its co-operation with IKEA began in 2001, initially as a subcontractor of wool textiles for another company that worked for the retailer.
