Knitted compression sock for reducing heel pain

A knitted compression foot garment that is claimed to reduce heel pain has been developed by ING Source of Hickory, North Carolina, USA. The sock incorporates first and second high-compression zones, and a compression-release zone between them.

The first high-compression zone applies circumferential compression to the foot below the plantar fascia between the calcaneus and metatarso-phalangeal joints and generally around the midfoot.
