Kyrgyz textile industry set for growth this year

The textile and clothing industry of Kyrgyzstan is steadily growing: last year production was valued at KZS5.2bn (US$75m), KZS44.6m (US$645,000) higher than in 2015.

Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov said the volume of domestic production will continue to grow over the next few years when, in addition to the domestic market, a significant amount of products will be exported, in particular to Vietnam, which recently joined the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
