A large vertically integrated knitting factory, a joint venture between Pacific Textiles Holdings, one of Hong Kong’s largest knitting mills and Hong Kong-based clothing maker Crystal Group, is expected to open shortly near Hanoi, Vietnam.

Investment in the Pacific Crystal Textiles joint venture is expected to exceed US$500m over an 8-10 year period and is due to begin production by early 2015.

The new complex in the Lai Vu Industrial Zone in Hai Duong province will employ around 30,000 workers and carry out the full range of knitwear manufacturing processes, including knitting, dyeing and finishing and sewing of finished garments.
