Latex replaced with alternative backcoating process

Carpet backing Tune ItAutoneum has replaced the latex commonly used in standard backcoatings of its automotive carpets with a thermoplastic adhesive material, which improves recyclability at the end of product life.

In addition, this reduces water and energy consumption and thus carbon dioxide emissions in production, claims the company of Winterthur, Switzerland.
