Leather interiors are good for the planet, say suppliers

A group of global automotive leather manufacturers and suppliers is claiming that using leather in vehicles is benefitting the planet.

The group, named One 4 Leather, has released data outlining that if the automotive industry stopped using leather altogether, 35m hides would go to landfill, which would mean an extra 644m kg of carbon dioxide being emitted annually.
