Lightweight high-performance acoustic material on show

A lightweight, high-performance acoustic material that offers advantageous thermal properties was introduced at Automotive Interiors Expo 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Dr Kathy Beresford, group technical director of Autins Group, explained that Neptune nonwoven material is an ultra-lightweight microfibre acoustic absorber that improves vehicle acoustics, particularly in areas where space is at a premium.

It is currently manufactured in the UK and available throughout Europe, supplied as either roll goods or manufactured components.
