Lithuanian textile and clothing exports rise 8.8% in 2013

Lithuanian textile and clothing exports increased by 8.8% to LTL2.27bn (US$900m) in 2013 compared with the previous year – the highest export growth of any other industrial sector. The main factors for growth included smaller and more frequent orders, and higher costs and wages in Asia.

Outerwear, home textiles and bed linen exports grew most strongly; the second half of the last year was especially fruitful.
