H&M, Inditex and C&A are among the major global clothing brands that have backed an initiative to protect garment workers and factories in Myanmar from the worst impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The agreement, which hopes to attract more industry stakeholders, aims to keep Myanmar’s clothing and footwear industry open and its workers protected during and after the pandemic.
