Malaysia aims for 10-15% export share for children’s wear

The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) has kick-started exports of children’s fashion wear, aiming to capture a 10-15% share of Malaysia’s textile and clothing exports within three to five years, reports the Bernama news agency.

Exports of these items currently form a small percentage of Malaysia’s overall textile and apparel exports, but the trade body is now looking into this promising segment, said lifestyle section director Abu Bakar Yusof.
