Malaysian kenaf fibre in high demand in China and Thailand

National Kenaf and Tobacco Board chairman Datuk Mohd Adhan Kechik said that, during the October 2014 – December 2015 period, Malaysia exported 760 tonnes of kenaf fibre to China and 20 tonnes to Thailand, together worth almost MYR1m (US$240,000).

He said the kenaf fibre and core are in high demand in both countries as they are of high quality for the housing and automotive industries.
