Belgian-owned Marbul, which has been manufacturing women’s garments for 10 years in a rented building in Rakovski near Plovdiv, Bulgaria, has built its own factory in the region.

Most of the investment of more than BGN4m (US$2.5m) was provided by the company itself, with the rest from European funding under the Innovation and Competitiveness operational programme.

The aim of the investment is to double the capacity of the enterprise and close the production cycle so that most of the processes can be carried out on site.
