Nanofibre coating improves performance of joint prosthesis

DSC 0778Improving implant bone osseointegration of a total joint replacement (TJR) implant is both clinically and economically important, say researchers at the University of Central Oklahoma of Edmond, Oklahoma, USA, who have developed a process to functionalise an electrospun nanofibre membrane (NFM) on a TJR implant surface.
