Nearly half of all Latvian used clothing imports are ‘close to garbage’

According to the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia, the country imports on average more than 30,000 tonnes a year of clothing, footwear and household textiles. Approximately half – an average of 14,600 tonnes a year – is used clothing from other countries, according to Latvijas Zaļais Punkts.
