New Myanmar textile association formed

The Myanmar Textile Manufacturers Association has been launched by the country's Ministry of Industry, following years of discussion about creating an upstream producers body.

Prior to the move, the only group that promoted the clothing sector has been the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association, which prompted government officials to start a new association for the textile sector.
