A new cluster for the production of textile products will soon be established in the Ivanovo region, Russia’s centre of textile production.

According to Vyacheslav Pozgalev, a member of the Committee on Industry of the Russian State Duma, the new cluster will be based on a new facility for the production of synthetic fibres and yarns, which will soon be commissioned in the Ivanovo region.

The plant will have an annual capacity of up to 200,000 tonnes of polyester fibre and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) granulate and will create more than 550 jobs.
