Azerbaijan is expected to start production of polypropylene in 2016, with production at 150,000 tonnes in 2016 and 2017, according to the draft socio-economic development plan for 2014-17.
Meanwhile, the country is expected to produce 142,500 tonnes of propylene in 2014 compared with 44,200 tonnes projected for 2013. Production is forecast to reach 163,500 tonnes in 2015. A reduction will be observed in 2016 and 2017, when production will amount to 24,500 tonnes and 23,400 tonnes respectively.
