Prolexus to construct new knitted fabric plant in Malaysia

Apparel producer Prolexus Group is to start construction of a new knitted fabric plant as a part of its plans to become a vertically integrated company.

The firm will invest US$10m in the new circular knitting mill, which will be located in Johor, Malaysia, about 60 km from the group’s main factory in Batu Pahat, and will have an annual production capacity of around 15m metres of fabric.

Completion of the construction project is expected to finish in 2017 with an initial annual production capacity of about 4.5m pieces annually.
