The central Vietnamese province of Quang Nam has issued an investment certificate for the construction of a US$6m yarn production plant at the Tay An Industrial Park complex in Duy Xuyen district.
The certificate was granted to Rio Quang Nam Fibre Production, which is owned by Rio Industries of South Korea.
The factory will specialise in producing polyester industrial sewing threads with an annual capacity of 4,440 tonnes of yarn and is scheduled to be operational by March 2015.
