Renault has co-developed a fabric made from 100% recycled materials for the new Zoé.
In 2015, the automaker initiated a project called “àfiler” (“to thread”) with Filatures du Parc, a spinning mill in Brassac in the Tarn region of France, and Adient Fabrics, an automotive seat supplier in Ariège, France, to design a textile made exclusively from recycled materials.
The patented product is made from seatbelts, textile scraps from the automotive industry and polyester fibres from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.
