Replacement heart valve eliminates leakage
A textile-based prosthesis to correct problems associated with impaired heart valves has been developed by Edwards Lifesciences of Irvine, California, USA.
The implant is designed to be secured relative to intra-luminal tissue in an atraumatic manner and to eliminate paravalvular leakage.
