Russia reduces imports of textiles and clothing
Russian imports of Chinese and Turkish textiles and clothing decreased in the second half of 2020 owing to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and decline of consumer purchasing power.
Amid the fears of new lockdowns, many Russian apparel retailers and producers have decided to suspend manufacture of new collections.
Local analysts predict that the current situation could lead to a shortage of inexpensive clothing in Russia in 2021.
