Textile production in Russia will grow by almost 5% annually until 2030, according to the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

An RAS spokesman said the largest increase will be observed in the 2021-2025 period and will be equivalent to 6.3-8% per annum, slowing to 3.8% during 2026-2030.

The increase in production will be mainly due to the ongoing recovery of the Russian economy and new investment projects in the industry. Last year, textile production grew by 2%, according to Rosstat.
