An effective strategy to prevent drowsiness-related car accidents is to monitor drivers’ drowsing state and alert them accordingly.

The development of a robust, cost-effective, seamless sensing solution for automotive seats was presented at the Automotive Interiors Virtual “Live” conference in December by João Gomes, chief operations officer of CeNTI – Centre of Nanotechnology and Smart Materials, Portugal.
