Sexual harassment costs Cambodian clothing sector US$89m a year

Sexual harassment in the workplace could have an indirect cost to the Cambodian clothing industry of up to US$89m per year, reports the Khmer Times.

Speaking at the Business of Women at Work forum in October, Care Cambodia’s acting country director Jan Noorlander said the organisation was surprised at the figure, which it put down to women not feeling safe in their jobs and calling in sick or resigning, reducing productivity.
