According to data from the Ministry of Commerce data, the growth in exports for Cambodia’s clothing the sector slowed to 4% last year, when garments valued at US$5.7bn were exported, up from US$5.5bn in 2013.
The latest figure marks a significant drop in year-on-year growth rates. Between 2009 and 2011, apparel exports rose by 25-35%; between 2011 and 2013, the industry grew at about 10%.
