South Ossetia to launch flagship textile factory

The government of South Ossetia plans to commission a new flagship factory for the production of clothing in Tskhinvali, which is expected to be one of the largest in the whole South and North Caucasus region.

Details of the project, which is being personally controlled by the president of South Ossetia, Leonid Tibilov, as well as production volumes of the new factory have not been disclosed. The new factory is being built on the capacities of the old textile factory, which was partially destroyed during the Russian-Georgia War of 2008.
